Flintshire County Council cemetery fees

Flintshire County Council operates cemeteries across the county including at Bagillt, Connah’s Quay, Flint, Holywell, Mold, and other communities. The fee schedule below has been in effect from 1 October 2023. As of August 2026, Flintshire County Council has not published an updated schedule – these remain the latest available fees. Contact the council to confirm current charges before making arrangements.

The total cost of a new grave is the combined cost of the plot reservation (which grants the exclusive right of burial) and the interment fee.

Plot reservation (exclusive right of burial)

The plot reservation fee grants the exclusive right of burial in the grave space. It is charged separately from the interment fee.

The council’s non-resident doubling applies to grave-purchase, interment, and Saturday-surcharge fees. Memorial, chapel, and administrative fees in this table are charged at the same rate to residents and non-residents.

Interments for persons of no fixed abode

Where a person had no fixed abode, no exclusive right of burial is issued. The common grave space fee is £364 resident, £728 non-resident.

About Flintshire cemeteries

Flintshire County Council manages cemeteries across the county. Bagillt Cemetery includes a small chapel available for funeral services prior to interment, subject to the chapel committee’s permission. The maximum allowable depth at Bagillt is 6ft (suitable for two interments).
