Ceremony-only venue since 2020
Poole’s own cremator was decommissioned in April 2020. The site – now known as the Halo Ceremony Hall – still hosts the funeral service, but BCP Council’s Bereavement Care team conveys the coffin to Bournemouth Crematorium afterwards for the cremation itself, then returns the ashes to Poole at no extra cost. Over 2,500 services have been held at the venue since the change. Source: BCP Council – Poole Crematorium.
Chapel and booking
The Halo Ceremony Hall seats up to 120, refurbished in 2022 with hand-painted local landscape murals and a wooden ceiling with ambient lighting. There’s allocated and overflow parking close to the building. Services can be streamed live online or recorded – ask your funeral director to arrange this. The bereavement care office is open 11am–3pm, Monday to Friday. The site sits within a protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Source: BCP Bereavement Care – Contact us.
