Bournemouth Crematorium fees
Current cremation fees at Bournemouth Crematorium, verified against the Bournemouth Christchurch & Poole Council’s published fee schedule.
Poole Crematorium’s cremator was decommissioned in 2020, so it can no longer carry out cremations on site. If your service is booked at Poole, the BCP Bereavement Care Team conveys the coffin here to Bournemouth Crematorium for the cremation itself and returns the ashes to Poole afterwards, at no additional cost to you.

Chapels
Bournemouth Crematorium has two chapels. The West Chapel seats up to 40, with room for around 20 more mourners standing. The East Chapel seats up to 100, with room for a further 100 standing.
Services can be live-streamed online or recorded, with visual tributes shown on screen – ask your funeral director to arrange this with the crematorium in advance.

Parking and accessibility
Parking is allocated close to the crematorium building and chapels, including disabled bays, with further parking around the grounds on the exit drives. Hearing loops are fitted at the crematorium entrance.
The bereavement care office is open Monday to Friday, 11:00–15:00.

About this crematorium
Bournemouth Crematorium is operated by Bournemouth Christchurch & Poole Council, within the grounds of North Cemetery on Strouden Avenue. It opened in 1938 and is now the only site in the BCP area that can carry out a cremation – see above for how that affects Poole bookings.
