Warren Hill Crematorium (Kettering) fees

Warren Hill Crematorium – also known locally as Kettering Crematorium – is run by North Northamptonshire Council. Unlike most crematoriums, there’s no separate direct/unattended cremation product here – the cheapest way in is a short attended service before 10am.

Looking for burial or grave costs instead? Warren Hill’s bereavement services team also handles the council’s cemeteries – see our North Northamptonshire cemetery fees guide for grave purchase and interment fees.

The two chapels

Warren Hill has two chapels, and which one your funeral director books usually comes down to expected numbers rather than choice.

Albert Munn Chapel is part of the original 1940 building and keeps many of its period features, including Art Deco windows and a rood screen. It’s the smaller of the two, seating up to 65 with room for people to stand. Services here start from 9:30am, with a one-hour slot allocated per booking (the service itself typically runs around 45 minutes).

Edgar Newman Chapel is the larger, more modern space, with seating for up to 137 plus standing room. Services start from 9am, on the same one-hour slot pattern.

On Saturdays, only the Edgar Newman Chapel is used, with a maximum of three appointments – 10am, 11am and 12 noon – offered by rotation.

Parking, access and opening hours

There’s on-site parking for over 190 vehicles, including 15 disabled bays. Both chapels have covered areas outside for anyone waiting in poor weather.

The crematorium office is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. The grounds themselves are open every day of the year, with gates unlocking at 8am and closing at 7:30pm between April and September, or 4:30pm from October to March.
