About this crematorium
Shay Grange Crematorium is operated by the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council. It opened in 2023 as part of a wider programme to modernise the district’s crematoria, and was the first crematorium in the UK to feature screens that can divide the service room or hide the coffin during a service if a family prefers. The chapel is fully accessible, with disabled parking on site, and can accommodate up to 150 people. Bradford Council also operates Oakworth Crematorium and Scholemoor Crematorium (being replaced by Bierley Woods Crematorium from 2026).
