Chapel and booking
Wakefield Council offers three service lengths at Pontefract: a 40-minute service, a 20-minute service, or direct cremation with no service. The chapel seats up to 95 in total – 75 in the main chapel plus 20 on the balcony, with some further standing room. Bookings run Monday to Thursday, 9am–3pm, and Friday 9am–2:20pm, though the first two slots and the last slot of the day are reserved for 20-minute services or direct cremation only. The chapel has a hearing loop and the “Wesley” music and media system, which supports visual tributes, webcasts and service recording.
