Chapels and facilities
Markeaton has two chapels. The Main Chapel seats 98 with some standing room; the Round Chapel seats 40 with limited standing room. Each has its own waiting room, and refreshments are available in the Main Chapel waiting room. Both chapels have the Wesley Media System for music, a screen for a free holding photograph, and live webcasting and visual tributes available at extra cost.
Service times run from 8am to 3.30pm, scheduled every hour. Chapel use is capped at 45 minutes including entry and exit, though an extension can be booked for a charge. A witness viewing of the coffin can be arranged daily, following the service.

Accessibility and parking
The visitor car park is off Markeaton Lane and clearly signposted, with a smaller car park beside the main building reserved for less mobile and disabled visitors and following family cars. Ramps provide wheelchair access into and out of the chapels and the office, and a wheelchair is available on request – ask the chapel attendant for help. Only assistance dogs are permitted in the grounds and chapels.
Toilets are available in each waiting room, with disabled toilet and baby-changing facilities off the Main Chapel waiting room and in the Bereavement Office. The crematorium grounds are open seven days a week, accessed via the main visitor car park.
