Chapels and grounds
Exeter & Devon Crematorium has two service chapels. St Peters Chapel seats 130 and is used for larger services, while the smaller St Pauls Chapel seats 50 for a more intimate gathering. Both are multi-faith, can accommodate any service, and have music facilities, with visual tributes available in St Peters. A separate Memorial Chapel houses the Book of Remembrance year-round and can also be used for private prayer or small memorial services. Source: Dignity – Exeter & Devon Crematorium.
The crematorium opened in November 1963 on 14 acres of what was formerly the Northbrook Park Estate. The grounds include a rose garden leading to Willow Lake, an avenue of trees along the riverbank, and mature oaks, cedars and yews, some dating back to the estate’s original planting. A communal scattering lawn, Twin Oaks, sits behind the grounds near St James’ Leat.
The site has accessible parking, wheelchair access, accessible toilets, and a hearing loop. Source: Dignity – Exeter & Devon Crematorium.

The office and Memorial Office are open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm; the grounds are open to the public every day of the year. Memorial consultations and collection of cremated remains can be arranged by appointment. Source: Dignity – Exeter & Devon Crematorium.
