Cheltenham crematorium is operated by Cheltenham Borough Council and opened in 2019. It has two main chapels: the Oak chapel, which seats up to 150 mourners, and the smaller Willow chapel, which seats up to 75. A separate Sanctuary chapel accommodates up to four people for baby funerals.
Cremations take place on weekdays only, excluding bank holidays. A standard service in the Oak or Willow chapel runs for 35 minutes; a shorter 10-minute sunrise service is also available in the Willow chapel, which is where the £685 reduced/off-peak fee applies.
