West Lindsey District Council cemetery fees

Current cemetery fees for West Lindsey District Council, effective 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. The council manages two cemeteries: School Lane Cemetery in Springthorpe and Legsby Road Cemetery in Market Rasen.

Note on interment fees: West Lindsey District Council does not set or publish interment (burial service) fees. Those charges are arranged directly with your funeral director and vary by provider. The fees below cover grave purchase (exclusive right of burial) and memorial installation only.

Grave purchase (exclusive right of burial)

The Exclusive Right of Burial grants the holder the right to determine who is buried in a grave space. Non-residents pay approximately double the resident rate.

Non-resident fees

Non-resident rates apply to anyone not permanently resident within the West Lindsey district. The non-resident rate for a single grave ERB is approximately double the resident rate (£768 → £1,594). The council sets the exact rates; there is no fixed multiplier published.

West Lindsey District Council manages two cemeteries:

  • Springthorpe Cemetery – School Lane, Springthorpe, Gainsborough
  • Market Rasen Cemetery – Legsby Road, Market Rasen
