Warrington cemetery fees
Warrington Borough Council is a unitary authority managing four cemeteries – Manchester Road (Warrington Cemetery), Fox Covert (Appleton), Hollinfare (Rixton) and Burtonwood – plus Walton Lea Crematorium. Grave purchases are allocated sequentially across all four sites rather than by choice of cemetery, so the fee schedule is the same regardless of which cemetery a grave falls in. The council applies significantly lower rates for borough residents – non-residents pay twice the resident fee. Saturday funerals attract a 50% surcharge; Sunday funerals a 100% surcharge.

The grave purchase fee covers a new full burial plot for up to three coffins on a lawn section. Pre-purchasing a grave is not permitted; a grave can only be purchased at point of need.
