Dawlish, Newton Abbot & Teignmouth cemetery fees
Teignbridge District Council manages five open cemeteries in south Devon: Dawlish Cemetery, Kingsteignton Cemetery, Newton Abbot Cemetery, Teignmouth Old Cemetery, and Teignmouth New Cemetery. The council sets a single unified fee schedule applied across all five sites.
Fees shown are for residents – those whose primary address was within the Teignbridge district immediately prior to their death. Non-residents are charged double the resident rate in all categories.
Interment of a child under 16 in an earthen grave is free of charge, and interment of cremated remains is free for anyone under 16 – there is no charge for the interment itself, though the family will still need to purchase or already hold the grave’s Exclusive Right of Burial.
The Exclusive Right of Burial at Teignbridge cemeteries is granted for a period of 50 years when purchased at the point of need, or 20 years (with a 5-year extension option) if purchased in advance.
