Tandridge District Council cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Tandridge District Council, effective 1 April 2026. Tandridge DC operates Caterham Cemetery, serving communities across the district in Surrey. Parishioner rates apply to those who are – or immediately before their death were – an inhabitant or parishioner of the parish for at least seven years. For enquiries, use the council’s contact form.
Grave space purchase (exclusive right of burial)
A new burial plot provides an exclusive right of burial. The purchase fee is the same regardless of parishioner status.

Burial and interment fees
Interment fees vary significantly depending on residency status. Three tiers apply: current parishioners, former parishioners (7+ years prior residence), and non-parishioners.

Cremated remains fees
Cremated remains are buried in plots in the Garden of Remembrance unless a grave has been purchased previously elsewhere in the cemetery. Three tiers apply, matching the interment fee tiers above: current parishioners, former parishioners (7+ years prior residence), and non-parishioners.

Baby and children’s memorials should not exceed 60cm (24”) high; a full memorial should not exceed 1.2m (4’) long and 60cm (24”) high.

The council has agreed there is no charge for the burial of children under 12 in Caterham Cemetery – the grave purchase price remains the same but the interment fee is waived.
