City and County of Swansea cemetery fees
Swansea Council manages seven cemeteries across the city and county: Morriston, Oystermouth, Kingsbridge, Rhydgoch, Danygraig, Coed Gwilym, and Cwmgelli. Unlike most councils, Swansea does not separate the exclusive right of burial (EROB) from the interment fee – the “new grave” charge covers both burial rights and the interment in a single bundled fee.

Children and young people
Swansea Council does not charge for burial or memorialisation of children under 18, including early pregnancy loss and stillborn babies. Burial of a baby or child up to 17 years in any grave (subject to availability) is free and includes exclusive right of burial.

Swansea is the second largest city in Wales. Its cemeteries serve communities across a wide area including Morriston, Oystermouth (Mumbles), and the outlying valleys. Oystermouth and Kingsbridge offer a woodland or meadow burial section for coffin and cremated remains burials. Morriston has a dedicated babies garden for early pregnancy loss and stillborn burials. Danygraig includes a Muslim burial section.
