Stirling Council covers the historic city of Stirling, Fallin, Bannockburn, Callander, and the wider region around the Forth valley and Trossachs. From 1 March 2026, all new lairs are leased rather than purchased outright, with a 25-year lease under the Burial and Cremation (Scotland) Act 2016 (sections 14 and 16), renewable in 10-year increments and not applied retrospectively to lairs bought before that date. Non-resident fees run at roughly 46% above the resident rate across lair purchase and interment.
