South Kesteven District Council cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for South Kesteven District Council at Grantham Cemetery, effective 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. South Kesteven District Council operates Grantham Cemetery and Crematorium, which includes a traditional burial ground, a Muslim section, and a woodland burial ground. The council also maintains a number of churchyards across the district.
Parishioner rates apply to residents within the Grantham boundary. Non-parishioners (residents outside Grantham) pay 50% more on grave purchase and re-opening fees.
Grave purchase (exclusive right of burial)
ERB grants rights for up to 50 years.

Muslim interments
South Kesteven District Council has a dedicated Muslim burial section at Grantham Cemetery. The same ERB and interment fees apply as for the traditional burial ground. Muslim burials are not available at weekends or on bank holidays.
Non-parishioner fees
The 50% surcharge for non-parishioners (residents outside the Grantham boundary) applies to:
- Exclusive Right of Burial
- Re-opening of graves
- Woodland burial
Standard interment fees (items 2 and 3 above) are charged at the same rate for all, regardless of residence.
About Grantham Cemetery
Grantham Cemetery is the principal burial ground managed by South Kesteven District Council and is located adjacent to Grantham Crematorium. The cemetery includes a traditional burial ground, a Muslim section, and a woodland burial area offering natural burial. South Kesteven also maintains a number of closed churchyards across the district on behalf of the Church of England.
Grantham is the largest town in South Kesteven, a largely rural Lincolnshire district also encompassing Stamford, Bourne, and the Vale of Belvoir.
