Last updated 20 June 2026

Monmouthshire County Council cemetery fees

Monmouthshire County Council operates five cemeteries across the authority area: Abergavenny, Caldicot, Chepstow, Monmouth, and Usk. Fees are reviewed annually and apply from 1 April each year.

Current fees are effective from 1 April 2026. Out-of-county rates (where the deceased was living outside Monmouthshire at the time of death) are double the in-county rate. Exceptions include Armed Forces personnel, residents who moved for specialist care, and graves pre-purchased by Monmouthshire residents who later moved away.

Burial fees (inclusive of exclusive right of burial)

Monmouthshire publishes combined burial and ERB prices – the two are not separated in the fee schedule.
