Milton Keynes City Council cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Milton Keynes City Council, covering Crownhill Crematorium and Cemetery and other council-operated cemeteries, effective from 20 April 2026.
Milton Keynes applies the same fees to every burial regardless of the deceased’s home address – there is no non-resident surcharge, unlike most councils, which charge non-residents up to double or triple the resident rate. The exclusive right of burial (EROB) runs for a maximum term of 30 years, shorter than many other councils, but can be renewed in five-year increments. Children under 18 are charged at a reduced rate.

About Milton Keynes City Council cemeteries
Milton Keynes City Council operates Crownhill Crematorium and Cemetery as well as a number of other cemeteries across the city. Milton Keynes is notable for not applying any non-resident surcharge – the same fees apply whether the deceased was a city resident or not. The 30-year maximum EROB term is shorter than the 50 or 100-year terms common at many councils, though it is renewable.
