Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Larne cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, effective 1 April 2026. The same fees apply at every council cemetery, whichever of the former Ballymena, Carrickfergus, or Larne council areas it sits in – the three legacy councils merged into Mid and East Antrim in 2015.
Residents pay substantially less than non-residents – non-resident grave purchase is approximately 3.3 times the resident rate.
Which cemeteries this covers
Mid and East Antrim Borough Council runs 23 cemeteries across the three areas. The fees on this page apply at all of them:
- Larne area: Larne (Greenland) Cemetery, McGarel Cemetery, Islandmagee Cemetery, Ballycarry Old Cemetery (Templecorran), Ballycarry New Cemetery, Glenarm Cemetery
- Carrickfergus area: North Road Cemetery, Victoria Cemetery, Kilroot Cemetery
- Ballymena area: Ballymena (Cushendall Road) Cemetery, Ballee Cemetery, Ahoghill Cemetery, Cullybackey Cemetery, Kirkinriola Cemetery, Clough Cemetery, Kirkhill Cemetery, Portglenone Cemetery, Racavan Cemetery, Ballyclug Cemetery, Old Church Yard Cemetery, Old Ahoghill Cemetery, Newtowncrommelin Cemetery, Templemoyle Cemetery
Burials are arranged through the council’s Cemetery Administrator’s Office, not through the individual cemetery, whichever one a family chooses.
