Maldon, Burnham-on-Crouch and Heybridge cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Maldon District Council, effective 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. Maldon District Council operates three cemeteries across the district in mid-Essex: Maldon Cemetery on London Road, Burnham-on-Crouch Cemetery, and Heybridge Cemetery. The same fee schedule applies at all three.
Non-residents pay approximately double the resident rate for most cemetery services.

Children’s burials
Fees relating to burials of those aged under 18 and stillborn children are recovered from the Government’s Children’s Funeral Fund for England. Families are not charged at point of service.

Maldon District Council manages three cemeteries within the district, which covers a largely rural and coastal area of mid-Essex: Maldon Cemetery on London Road, Burnham-on-Crouch Cemetery, and Heybridge Cemetery.
