Louth Town Council cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Louth Town Council, effective from 1 May 2026. Louth Town Council operates London Road Cemetery in Louth, Lincolnshire – a large historic cemetery first opened in 1855 with over 29,000 burials. Fees are set for parishioners (registered Louth electors) and non-parishioners.
Burial costs (new grave)
Louth Town Council separates grave purchase from grave digging fees, both of which are required for a new burial.

Grave digging in sections A–I (existing graves only)
Sections A, C–I are closed to new grave purchases, but grave digging fees still apply where a family reopens an existing grave for a further interment.

Who qualifies as a parishioner?
A parishioner is defined as:
- A person on the Louth electoral register at the time of death
- A person under 18 whose parents appear on the Louth electoral register
- A person who, immediately prior to moving to a care or nursing home outside Louth (no more than 24 months before death), had resided at a Louth address on the electoral register for more than 24 months
Those who lived in Louth but are not on the electoral register must provide proof of residence.
