Lincoln City Council cemetery fees

Current burial and cemetery fees for City of Lincoln Council, effective 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. Lincoln operates four cemeteries: Newport Cemetery, Long Leys Cemetery, St Swithins Cemetery, and Canwick Road Cemetery. Eastgate Cemetery no longer has new grave spaces – reopening of existing graves only.

City of Lincoln residents receive a 50% discount on all grave purchase and interment fees compared to non-residents (except cremated remains fees, which have a separate discount structure).

Grave space purchase (exclusive right of burial)

All new grave spaces and cremation plots are sold on a 50-year lease. The land remains the property of the City of Lincoln Council. All plots are lawn-style – kerbs, railings, fencing, loose chippings and ornaments are not permitted.
