Gunnersbury and Hanwell cemetery fees (RBKC)

Current burial and cemetery fees for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), effective 1 April 2026. RBKC operates two cemeteries: Gunnersbury Cemetery (Gunnersbury Avenue, W3) and Hanwell Cemetery (Shakespeare Road, W7). Note that Brompton Cemetery in the borough is managed by the Royal Parks and is not included here. Fees below apply to RBKC-operated sites only.

Exclusive Right of Burial – grave space prices

About RBKC cemeteries

Gunnersbury Cemetery is the larger of the two council-run sites, offering both standard and smaller grave options in pathside and non-pathside positions. Hanwell Cemetery is a quieter site with smaller grave plots only.

Brompton Cemetery (off Old Brompton Road, SW10) is a separate Grade I listed site managed by the Royal Parks, and its fee schedule is published independently. It is not a Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea facility.

Residency is assessed on the basis of where the deceased was registered. Non-resident fees are three times the resident rate – one of the higher multipliers among London boroughs.
