Harborough District Council cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Harborough District Council, effective 1 April 2026. The council manages six cemeteries across the district: Northampton Road, Great Bowden, Foxton, Saddington, Great Easton, and Blaston. All six cemeteries charge uniform rates. Non-residents of the Harborough District pay double all fees.
Grave purchase (exclusive right of burial)
The Exclusive Right of Burial is a 100-year lease on a grave space. Graves are allocated in rotation at the time of burial – advance purchase is not available.

Non-resident fees
All fees above are doubled for anyone who is not a resident of the Harborough District at the time of arranging the burial. There is no exception for former residents.
About Harborough District cemeteries
Harborough District Council operates six cemeteries across the district. Graves are allocated in rotation at the time of burial – pre-purchase of plots is not available. The chapel at Market Harborough carries a listed fee of £106.00 but is not currently available for services.
Historical burial register searches should be directed to Leicestershire County Council rather than Harborough District Council.
