Cemetery opening times

The same seasonal opening hours apply to all four Halton cemeteries – Widnes, Peel House, Runcorn, and Halton Cemetery – so there’s one schedule to check whichever side of the borough you’re visiting.

Halton Borough Council’s cemeteries serve the Widnes and Runcorn areas of Cheshire.

Widnes side:

  • Widnes Cemetery, Birchfield Road, Widnes – shares its grounds with Widnes Crematorium.
  • Peel House Cemetery, Incline Way, Widnes – Halton’s newest cemetery, opened in 2020 on the former Fairfield High School site.

Runcorn side:

  • Runcorn Cemetery, Langdale Road, Runcorn.
  • Halton Cemetery, by Shopping City, Runcorn.
