Gwynedd Council cemetery fees

Gwynedd Council manages cemeteries across the county, covering communities from Bangor and Caernarfon in the north to Barmouth and Dolgellau in the south. The council publishes an annual fee schedule covering all burial services.

Current fees apply for 2026/27.

Grave purchase and burial fees

Gwynedd’s fee structure separates the burial service fee from the exclusive right of burial. Both are required for a new grave.

Exceptions apply where the deceased moved out of Gwynedd for a period of up to two years due to personal circumstances.
