Guildford Borough Council cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Guildford Borough Council, effective 1 April 2026. The council operates two cemeteries: Stoke Cemetery (Stoke Road, Guildford) and The Mount Cemetery. Resident rates apply to those who live within the Guildford borough. Non-resident fees are double the resident rate across all services.
New fees apply to all services on or after 1 April 2026, regardless of when the service was booked.
Grave space purchase (exclusive right of burial)
An exclusive right of burial (ERB) grants the holder the right to decide who is buried in the grave and to apply to erect a memorial. The Guildford term is 30 years, extendable in five-year increments.

Burial and interment fees
Interment fees apply between 10am and 3pm on a weekday. Outside those hours, an additional fee of £670 applies (3pm–5pm); for each hour after 5pm, a further £150 per hour is charged.

Guildford Borough Council operates Stoke Cemetery and The Mount Cemetery in Guildford, Surrey. Both are managed through the council’s bereavement services team based at Guildford Crematorium. Stoke Cemetery is the larger site and includes a range of burial sections. Children under 18 are buried at no charge in line with the Child Burial Fund.
