Great Yarmouth Borough Council cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Great Yarmouth Borough Council, effective 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. The council operates its own cemeteries and crematorium (Great Yarmouth Crematorium) in the borough. Resident rates apply to those living within the borough at the time of death.
Grave purchase (exclusive right of burial)
The Exclusive Right of Burial is granted for 50 years.

Children under 12 years (resident) are buried at no charge. Costs are covered by the council via the Children’s Funeral Fund for England.

Cremated remains can be interred in a grave for which the Exclusive Right of Burial has been granted.

Non-resident fees
Non-resident rates are substantially higher than resident rates. Non-residency is based on the home address of the deceased at the time of death. The non-resident rate for an adult burial in a new grave is £1,693, compared with the resident rate of £1,174.
