Current burial and cemetery fees for Gedling Borough Council, effective 1 April 2026. Gedling Borough Council manages cemeteries at Carlton and Redhill (Arnold), serving communities in the eastern suburbs of Nottingham. The council states a “125% surcharge” applies to fees for anyone not resident within the Gedling Borough Council area – its published schedule lists only resident fees, with no separate non-resident total shown, so the exact non-resident amount is best confirmed with the council when you enquire. Grave space purchase (exclusive right of burial)

ERB grants in Gedling’s cemeteries are issued for a 50-year term. Advance pre-purchase of grave plots is not permitted.

About Gedling cemeteries

Gedling Borough Council manages Carlton Cemetery and Redhill Cemetery (Arnold), serving the densely populated eastern suburbs of Nottingham. Carlton Cemetery offers a Muslim section, which is available Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) at standard fees plus an additional brick vault charge if required. Chapels at both cemeteries seat approximately 45 people with room for 12 standing, and include hearing loop systems, organs, hymn books, and CD/cassette players.
