Current burial and cemetery fees for Folkestone & Hythe District Council at Hawkinge Cemetery. The council operates six cemeteries across the district. All fees shown apply to Hawkinge Cemetery; check with the council for fees at other sites. Non-residents pay double the resident rate.
Grave purchase (exclusive right of burial)
The grave purchase fee covers the exclusive right of burial (deed of grant). Digging fees are separate and charged at the time of use.

Each grave can accept up to four sets of cremated remains after the last full burial.

Hawkinge Cemetery has a dedicated green burial area for natural burials using biodegradable coffins. Graves are single depth, allocated at the time of interment, and are not reopened. A native tree or shrub is planted as a living memorial for each grave. The fee contributes to meadow development and tree planting.
