Fenland District Council cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Fenland District Council, effective 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. The council manages six cemeteries across the Fenland district in Cambridgeshire. Non-residents pay double all standard fees.
A resident is defined as a person who at the time of death was a resident of the Fenland District, or a former resident who left the district within two years prior to death to enter a residential nursing or care home.
Grave purchase (exclusive right of burial)
The Exclusive Right of Burial is granted for 75 years.

Non-resident fees
Non-resident rates are double the resident rate across all fee categories – grave purchase, interment, and memorials. Non-resident status is assessed on the residency of the deceased at the time of death, not the family’s location.
About Fenland’s cemeteries
Fenland District Council operates six cemeteries serving the towns and villages of the Fenland district in Cambridgeshire: Walsoken Cemetery, Wisbech Cemetery (Eastwood Road), Eastwood Cemetery (March), Chatteris Cemetery, Whittlesey Cemetery, and Wisbech St Mary Cemetery. Wisbech is the largest town in the district; Wisbech Cemetery on Eastwood Road is the principal active burial ground.
The Fenland district lies in the low-lying fenlands of east Cambridgeshire, bordering Norfolk and Lincolnshire.
