Fakenham cemetery: £325 grave for residents, £650 for everyone else

Fakenham Town Council cemetery fees

Fakenham Town Council operates two cemeteries in Norfolk: Creake Road Cemetery on Creake Road (the primary active site) and Queens Road Cemetery near the town centre (mostly full). These fees were reviewed and updated at the Facilities and Amenities Committee meeting in February 2026. Non-residents pay twice the resident rate for all fees, except the ERB transfer fee which is charged at the standard rate regardless of residency.

Residency criteria

To qualify for the resident rate, the deceased must have lived within the parishes of Fakenham (including the west side of Sandy Lane and Sculthorpe Eastgate), Hempton, or Pudding Norton, and must have been registered for Council Tax or on the Electoral Register for a minimum of one year. Former residents who moved to end-of-life care outside the parish within one year of death may still qualify with proof of previous residency.
