Epsom and Ewell Borough Council cemetery fees

Current burial and cemetery fees for Epsom and Ewell Borough Council, effective 1 April 2026. The council operates Epsom Cemetery at Ashley Road, Epsom, Surrey KT18 5BP. For enquiries, contact cemetery@epsom-ewell.gov.uk or call 01372 732000.

A resident is defined as someone who has lived within the borough for at least one year during the five years preceding the date of death (or date of purchase for ERB). Non-residents pay double the resident rate across all fees. Cemetery fees are reviewed annually and take effect on 1 April each year.

Grave space purchase (exclusive right of burial)

An exclusive right of burial (ERB) grants the holder the right to decide who is buried in the grave and to apply to erect a memorial. The term at Epsom Cemetery is 75 years, with renewals available in 25-year increments (maximum 100 years total). The specific fee depends on which section of the cemetery the grave is in.
