Elmbridge cemetery fees

Current burial and cemetery fees for Elmbridge Borough Council, verified August 2026. Elmbridge BC operates seven cemeteries across the borough – Cobham, Weybridge, Walton-on-Thames, Molesey, Hersham, Burvale and Long Ditton – and the fees below apply across all of them. Resident rates apply to those living within the Elmbridge borough. Non-residents pay three times the resident rate across all services – one of the higher non-resident premiums in Surrey.

Elmbridge has no cemetery of its own in Esher – residents there are served by Cobham Cemetery, the nearest facility.

Grave space purchase (exclusive right of burial)

An exclusive right of burial (ERB) grants the holder the right to decide who is buried in the grave and to apply to erect a memorial. The Elmbridge term is 99 years – one of the longest standard terms offered by any English council.
