East Suffolk Council cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for East Suffolk Council cemeteries across the district, including Kirkley Cemetery (Lowestoft), Beccles Cemetery, Bungay Cemetery, Halesworth Cemetery, Aldeburgh Cemetery, Leiston Cemetery, and Saxmundham Cemetery. Cemetery administration and maintenance is provided by East Suffolk Services Ltd on behalf of the council. Fees are effective from 2026/27.
Non-resident interment charges are doubled. A non-resident is a person who was not registered as resident in East Suffolk at the time of their death. An exception applies if a resident was required to move out of the area for medical care or to a nursing home within the last two years – in which case the resident rate applies, subject to proof of previous residency.
There is no charge for burials of children under 18.

Note that some pre-purchase plots were temporarily suspended at Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth and Aldeburgh cemeteries in early 2026 due to limited available space; contact the council before booking pre-purchase.
