Cromer Town Council cemetery fees
Cromer Town Council operates the council cemetery at Holt Road, Cromer. These fees are effective from 1 April 2026. Non-parishioners pay 20% more than parishioners on most fees, but grave digging fees are the same for both. Interment fees are based on the residency of the deceased; all other fees are based on the residency of the purchaser. Children under 18 and stillborn babies are buried at no charge.
A parishioner is a person listed on the current Register of Electors for Cromer. Former Cromer residents who moved into a retirement home outside the town are treated as parishioners if they were long-term residents prior to moving.

Children and babies
Interment of a stillborn baby or a child under 18 is free of charge, and grave digging fees are met by the council. Purchase of Exclusive Rights of Burial is a separate, chargeable step: £25 for a plot in the baby grave area, or £25 for a child under 18.

Scattering of ashes also incurs the relevant administration and grave digging fees. Exhumation fees are quoted on application and are not published as a fixed schedule.
