Chelmsford City Council cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Chelmsford City Cemetery and Crematorium, managed by Chelmsford City Council. The cemetery is located off Writtle Road, Chelmsford, Essex. Fees are valid from 1 April 2026 to 30 September 2026. Chelmsford reviews its fees twice yearly (March and September).
A 100% surcharge applies to all fees where the person to be interred was not a resident of the City of Chelmsford at the time of their death.
There is no charge for the interment of children under four years. Children aged four to 18 years are charged at a subsidised rate.
