Current burial and cemetery fees for Cardiff City Council cemeteries, verified against the council’s published 2026 fee schedule. Cardiff Council operates eight cemeteries: Cathays, Llandaff, Llanishen, Northern, Pantmawr, St John’s (Radyr), Thornhill, and Western (Ely). Fees below apply across all eight sites unless a specific cemetery is named.

Cardiff’s 8 council cemeteries

Cardiff City Council manages eight cemeteries: Cathays Cemetery and Thornhill Cemetery are the two main sites, alongside Llandaff Cemetery, Llanishen Cemetery, Northern Cemetery, Pantmawr Cemetery, St John’s Cemetery (Radyr), and Western Cemetery (Ely). Cathays is also the only cemetery with its own on-site chapel and vaulted-chamber grave option. Contact the bereavement services team to confirm which cemetery has available plots.
