Cannock Chase District Council cemetery fees

Current burial and cemetery fees for Cannock Chase District Council, effective 1 April 2026. The council operates two main cemeteries: Stile Cop Cemetery and the newer Cannock Chase Cemetery. Grave space purchase prices differ slightly between sites.

Non-residents of the district pay double the resident rate for all burial fees. Children under 18, and stillborn babies after 24 weeks, are buried at no charge – there is also no charge for the grave space purchase for children’s graves.

Additional charges apply for oversized coffins: £92 for a coffin over 6 ft 8 in in length, and £92 for one over 28 in in width. A £77 charge applies if the interment form isn’t provided at least 48 hours before the interment.
