Stoney Royd and Calderdale cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council’s cemeteries, including Stoney Royd in Halifax – the borough’s largest cemetery. Calderdale uses a combined pricing model: the “new grave with interment” fee covers both the exclusive right of burial (ERB) and the cemetery works fee (previously listed as the interment fee). A separate ERB pre-purchase fee applies where the grave is reserved for future use.
An out-of-district surcharge of £772 applies where the deceased was not a Calderdale resident. On the £1,658 ERB pre-purchase fee, that surcharge adds nearly 47% – on the £2,707 combined new-grave fee it’s an extra 28.5%.
