Bridgend County Borough Council cemetery fees
Bridgend is one of the few Welsh councils that charges residents and non-residents the same rate for burial – many neighbouring authorities add a non-resident surcharge of several hundred pounds. Bridgend County Borough Council is the burial authority for eleven cemeteries and three churchyards across the county, and the 2026/27 fee schedule is effective from 1 April 2026.

Bridgend County Borough Council covers an area of south Wales stretching from the Vale of Glamorgan border to the Rhondda valleys. The eleven cemeteries and three churchyards serve communities including Bridgend town, Maesteg, Porthcawl, and the Llynfi, Garw, and Ogmore valleys. The council’s 2026/27 fees represent a significant increase over the previous year. Residents and non-residents are charged the same rate.
