Bradford cemetery fees

Current burial and cemetery fees for Bradford Metropolitan District Council’s cemeteries, effective 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. The council manages nine burial grounds: Scholemoor, Nab Wood, Bierley Woods, Shay Grange, Oakworth, Haworth, Silsden, Thornton and Queensbury cemeteries. Non-residents pay an additional 50% on all applicable fees. Children from 24 weeks gestation up to age 17 are buried at no charge (reclaimed via the Children’s Funeral Fund).

Grave purchase (exclusive right of burial)

The ERB is a 100-year grant. Fees vary by grave class (pathside or other location) and whether the interment is imminent (within 6 weeks) or for future use.

Bradford Metropolitan District Council manages nine cemeteries across the district: Scholemoor, Nab Wood, Bierley Woods, Shay Grange, Oakworth, Haworth, Silsden, Thornton and Queensbury.
