Boston Borough Council cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Boston Borough Council, effective 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. The council operates Boston Cemetery (London Road) and Fosdyke Cemetery. Non-residents pay double the resident burial and grave-purchase fees. The council also operates Boston Crematorium on the same site.

Boston Borough Council’s 2026/27 published fee schedule does not include a separate grave maintenance/planting contract charge that appeared in earlier years – ask the cemetery office directly if you want a maintained planted grave, as this may now be arranged differently or discontinued.

Non-resident fees
Non-resident rates are double the resident rate for the adult burial fee and for grave purchase (exclusive right of burial), and apply to anyone who has not resided within Boston Borough for the 5 years immediately preceding the death. This definition is wider than most councils and means people who lived outside the borough for only a few years before death may still qualify for resident rates. Other cemetery services (interment of ashes, memorial permits, and similar) are charged at a single published rate regardless of residency.

Boston Borough Council manages two cemeteries: Boston Cemetery (London Road, Boston PE21) and Fosdyke Cemetery. Boston Cemetery is the main active burial ground and shares a site with Boston Crematorium. The Fosdyke Cemetery is a smaller rural site south of Boston where cremated remains plots are available.
