Bishop’s Stortford cemetery fees
Current burial and cemetery fees for Bishop’s Stortford Town Council, effective 1 April 2026. Bishop’s Stortford Town Council operates two cemeteries in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire: the Old Cemetery and the New Cemetery, both located on Cemetery Road.
There are three residency tiers:
- Resident – living within the Civil Parish of Bishop’s Stortford at the time of death
- Previous Resident – resident within the Civil Parish for at least five years within the 20 years prior to death (but not at the time of death): charges are 1.8 times the resident rate
- Non-Resident – all others (resident for less than five years in the 20 years prior to death): charges are four times the resident rate
Grave space purchase (exclusive right of burial)
All ERB grants run for 50 years, with an option to extend for a further 25 years (giving a maximum of 75 years total).
