Durrington Cemetery (Worthing) and Adur cemetery fees

Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council operate a shared bereavement service, with cemeteries across both council areas managed under a single fee schedule. Current fees are effective from 6 April 2026.

Adur cemeteries include Lancing and Sompting Cemetery, Mill Lane Cemetery (Shoreham-by-Sea), St Nicolas Churchyard (Shoreham-by-Sea), and Southwick Cemetery. Worthing Borough operates Broadwater Cemetery and Durrington Cemetery, with Durrington Cemetery also housing Worthing Crematorium.

Non-residents pay 1.5 times the resident rate for exclusive right of burial and cremation plots. Interment fees are the same regardless of residency.

About Adur and Worthing cemeteries

Adur District and Worthing Borough share a single bereavement service, managed from Worthing Crematorium (Horsham Road, Findon, Worthing BN14 0RG). The service covers six cemeteries. Durrington Cemetery in Worthing is the main active burial site for new full graves.

The resident rate applies where the deceased was ordinarily resident in either Adur District or Worthing Borough at the time of death. Pre-purchase of graves is not available; exclusive right of burial is granted only at time of need.
